The US social security system is minimal compared to the Dutch. Social Security provides basic retirement and disability insurance. Medicare covers healthcare for 65+. Medicaid is for very low incomes. There is no federal unemployment benefit comparable to Dutch WW.

The US permanent residence card. Gives you the right to permanently live and work in the US. Can be obtained through employment, family, the Diversity Visa Lottery or investment.
